Kick-off at 17:30 UK / 18:30 CET
Venue: Etihad Stadium (Manchester).Pep Guardiola knows that his side cannot afford to slip up at all if they want to catch Liverpool at the top of the table. Three points against a rejuvenated Everton team would certainly help

Man City should be able to overcome Everton at the Etihad – but the visitors have a spring in their step thanks to the change in management and might well make this closer than expected.

Manchester City Team News, Updates and Facts

Man City Team News

Pep Guardiola continues to miss Aymeric Laporte and Leroy Sane as well as David Silva and John Stones due to injury problems.  Goalkeeper Ederson will be eligible to return, though, having served his one-match ban.

Man City Key Man

Sergio Aguero looked rusty, yet still scored on Sunday, so Gabriel Jesus might just get the nod here.  The Brazilian has not had a lot of success in front of goal at home, but he still has scored six PL goals so far and will be a major threat for Everton in all sorts of situations.  In midfield, Kevin De Bruyne continued to orchestrate for them in the win over the battling Blades.  He assisted Aguero on the opener, making it a ridiculous sum of 11 assists for the Belgian in the PL alone so far.

Man City Team Form

City have four wins and a loss in their last five matches:

2-0 home win vs Sheffield United
3-2 loss at Wolves
3-1 home win vs Leicester
1-3 win at Oxford (EFL Cup)
0-3 win at Arsenal

Man City Predicted Starting Line up

Expected Line up: 4-3-3

Manchester City likely XI

  • Goalkeeper:Ederson
  • Defenders:Cancelo, Otamendi, Fernandinho, Mendy
  • Midfielders:Gundogan, De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva
  • Forwards:Sterling, Jesus, Mahrez

Everton Team News, Updates and Facts

Everton Team News

Carlo Ancelotti will be without Andre Gomes, Morgan Schneiderlin, Alex Iwobi, and Jean Gbamin for this match as the Toffees try to keep up a strong run of results.

Everton Key Man

Following an impressive showing, yet again, in the win over Newcastle that included a brace of goals for him, Dominic Calvert-Lewin is beginning to catch on fire.  It’s now eight goals for him, and if he can gain even more confidence, he could soon be grabbing even more.  Out wide, Bernard could be a man to keep an eye on.  The Brazilian is less fancied than many of his teammates, but he is an out and out winger that can trouble City if he can be patient and direct in rare forays forward.

Everton Team Form

Everton have two wins and three draws in their last five matches:

1-2 win at Newcastle
1-0 home win vs Burnley
0-0 home draw vs Arsenal
2-2 home draw, penalty loss vs Leicester (EFL Cup)
1-1 draw at Manchester United

Everton Predicted Starting Line up

Expected Line up: 4-5-1

Everton likely XI

  • Goalkeeper:Pickford
  • Defenders:Coleman, Keane, Holgate, Digne
  • Midfielders:Richarlison, Sigurdsson, Davies, Delph, Bernard
  • Forwards:Calvert-Lewin
