Tottenham vs Liverpool
England – Premier League
Date: Saturday, 11 January 2020
Kick-off at 17:30 UK / 18:30 CET
Venue: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (London).
Liverpool are without a doubt the last team that any side would want to face, be it on the road or at home. With Tottenham winless in their past two h2h encounters overall as well, it will take nothing short of a miracle for the visitors to drop points in this one.
Tottenham vs Liverpool Head to head (h2h)
Liverpool came from behind to beat Tottenham at Anfield, despite conceding within the first minute of the game to a Harry Kane strike. Jordan Henderson levelled after the break and Mo Salah’s penalty ensured Liverpool have now won their last four consecutive matches against Spurs. That run, of course, includes last year’s Champions League Final.
Here are the results of their last five competitive matches:
Oct 27, 2019: Liverpool 2-1 Tottenham Hotspur
Jun 01, 2019: Tottenham Hotspur 0-2 Liverpool
Mar 31, 2019: Liverpool 2-1 Tottenham Hotspur
Sep 15, 2018: Tottenham Hotspur 1-2 Liverpool
Feb 04, 2018: Liverpool 2-2 Tottenham Hotspur

Harry Kane will be out until April after undergoing surgery on his hamstring injury. He joins Moussa Sissoko and Hugo Lloris as long-term absentees, while Danny Rose, Tanguy Ndombele and Ben Davies are sidelined too.
Tottenham Key Players
Christian Eriksen – With Harry Kane out, Spurs desperately need their Danish playmaker to regain the form that made him so popular in his time with the club.
Son Heung-Min – A frustrating year but the South Korean has already proved he is another who can deliver goals in Kane’s absence – as he did last season.
Dele Alli – His return to form as Jose Mourinho took charge has not held, but now would be a good time to get back to the goals and assists he was producing in that period.
Tottenham Team Form
Tottenham Hotspur beat Brighton on Boxing Day but have failed to win since – drawing twice, either side of defeat to Southampton on New Year’s Day. Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane scored in their 2-2 draw with Norwich and after the 1-0 loss on the South Coast, they needed Lucas Moura’s equaliser to an FA Cup replay against Championship Middlesbrough.

While Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip are closing in on a return, Joe Gomez’s successful return to the centre of defence means neither are likely to be rushed back. He joins Fabinho on the sidelines.
Liverpool Key Players
Sadio Mane – His goals against Wolves and Sheffield United take the Senegalese attacker – named African Player of the Year – to 15 in all competitions this season.
Mohamed Salah – One behind Mane, who he shared the Golden Boot with last season, having netted his 14th of the season in the win against Sheffield United.
Trent Alexander-Arnold – Starred against Leicester with a goal and two assists and now has two goals and nine assists in total for the season.

Curtis Jones scored their winner at the weekend, while Sadio Mane and Mo Salah were on target in their most recent league game.
