Eddie Howe continues, as is tradition seemingly, to have a long injury list.  Arnaut Groeneveld, Adam Smith, Harry Wilson, Charlie Daniels, David Brooks, Lloyd Kelly, Steve Cook, and Nathan Ake are among those set to miss out, giving him a lot of thinking to do about personnel.

Bournemouth Key Man

With so many key members of the team out, the Cherries need to count on Callum Wilson.  The Englishman has been in poor form for his standards, but he still has five goals to his name and can certainly threaten the Gunners here with his terrific ability to finish.  Ryan Fraser is another man that has not played up to the level he is capable of.  The Scottish winger has just three assists as we near the half way mark of the season, far below the pace he set last term.

Mikel Arteta will be without Rob Holding, Hector Bellerin, Kieran Tierney, Dani Ceballos, and Sead Kolasinac for his debut in the Gunners dugout.  Mesut Ozil should be available following his phantom ‘injury’ at the weekend.

One of the first things that Arteta is going to need to do in charge is to get the best out of Nicolas Pepe.  The big money signing has so far come up woefully short with only two goals and three assists, and that will surely be a priority for the Spanish boss to make use of.  Up front, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be looking to add to the 11 goals he has scored so far.  He’s been so good for them that without him you could legitimately see them in the relegation zone, underlining his importance to them.
