This Saturday, Belal Muhammad will attempt to defend his welterweight title against Jack Della Maddalene at UFC 315. It’s one of two championship fights on the card. The other bout features the women’s flyweight title fight between Valentina Shevchenko and Manon Fiorot.
In his last fight, Muhammad defeated Leon Edwards via unanimous decision. He will face a dangerous opponent in Della Maddalena. The Brazilian has won 17 straight fights and 14 of them were by stoppage.
Like Muhammad, Shevchenko is in a similar situation as she prepares to defend her title against a fighter who has won a lot of fights. After seven successful title defenses, she lost to Alexa Grasso in a shocking manner. Shevchenko then won her rematch with Grasso and regained the championship through a draw. Now, she’ll have to fight for the belt against Manon Fiorot, who has won 12 straight fights.
In the main event, former featherweight titleholder Jose Aldo will attempt to regain his championship against Aiemann Zahabi. After his brief retirement, he’s looking to make a name for himself once again by becoming a two-division champion. Also, Grasso will be fighting for the title against Natalia Silva. In the co-main event, Benoit Saint-Denis will look to add to his impressive record when he takes on Kyle Prepolec.
