On Saturday, Southampton and Brighton & Hove Albion will compete for three points at St Mary’s Stadium in a Premier League match.
The visitors are coming off a 2-2 draw against Leicester City at the same venue on Wednesday. The visitors came from behind twice to earn a point thanks to goals from Johnny Evans and James Maddison.
In a 1-1 draw away to West Ham, Brighton also shared the spoils. Tomas Soucek’s early goal was cancelled out by Neal Maupay’s equalizing goal one minute from the conclusion of normal time.
The draws put the two teams in seventh and fifteenth place in the table, with only four points separating them in the standings.

In round 15 of the Premier League, Southampton and Brighton meet at St. Mary’s Stadium in what is expected to be a tight match. The Saints want to snap their three-game losing streak, and they’ll fight tooth and nail in Sunday’s match. In a 2-2 draw with Leicester City, Southampton showed indications of progress, and we feel the time has come for Che Adams and his team to return to winning ways in the English Premier League.
On the other side, the Seagulls are looking for their first league victory since September 19. Given that the hosts are more motivated to win than the visitors, we believe the Seagulls will go home empty-handed. Both Alzate and Welbeck are injured for the visitors, while Stuart Armstrong, a midfielder, should be the lone absence for the hosts.

Bednarek, the Southampton goalscorer, had to leave the game in the final minutes of the Leicester draw with a calf niggle, but Hasenhuttl is optimistic that the centre-back has escaped major damage.
Moussa Djenepo and Mohamed Elyounoussi returned to the squad in midweek, but Stuart Armstrong is still out with a calf injury, while Jack Stephens’ knee has to be assessed.
This week, Lyanco should take over for Bednarek, while Nathan Tella should be relegated to the bench due to Elyounoussi’s return.
After being sent off in midweek, none of Sarmiento, Lallana, or Webster are expected to play for Brighton, while Danny Welbeck and Steven Alzate are also out.
This week’s absences appear to favour Pascal Gross, Shane Duffy, and Solly March, although Alexis Mac Allister is another possibility to fill the number 10 role with Lallana out.
Tariq Lamptey assisted on Maupay’s amazing equalizer in midweek, and it wouldn’t surprise me if he demoted Joel Veltman to the bench as a result.
