Artur Beterbiev defends his various world titles against Anthony Yarde on Saturday at London’s Wembley Arena. The fight will be televised by ESPN+. Beterbiev is a highly skilled boxer who has dominated the light heavyweight division.
Beterbiev is known for his ability to dominate his opponents. None of his opponents have been able to make it to the final bell.
Beterbiev became the first boxer to hold the IBF and WBA world titles at the same time in November 2017. He won the title by defeating the previously undefeated Italian boxer, Enrico Kolling, in 12 rounds. After successfully defending his titles twice, he faced the WBC champion, Oleksandr Gozdyk, in a rematch. He won a ten-round decision and unified the two titles. In his most recent bout, he defeated Joe Smith Jr. to become the WBO champion at 175 pounds.
It has been stated that a fight between Beterbiev and WBA champion Dmitry Bivol would be a dream match for boxing fans. Both men have stated that they would like to fight each other.
During their annual conference, the WBC stated that if Bivol and Beterbiev can’t agree to a fight, then the winner of the upcoming bout between Yarde and Beterbiev should face off against Smith.
