The final of the Champions League is here with Borussia Dortmund facing off against Real Madrid at Wembley on Saturday evening (8pm, TNT Sports 1).

UK betting sites heavily favor Madrid to win their 15th European title due to their strong history in finals under Carlo Ancelotti.

They orchestrated another stunning European comeback with Joselu scoring two late goals in the semi-final second leg against Bayern Munich, securing their spot in the final.

Borussia Dortmund has unexpectedly excelled in the Champions League this year.
Edin Terzic’s team enjoyed being considered as underdogs in their semi-final victory against Paris Saint-Germain and will need to once again defy the odds to secure their second European title.

Borussia Dortmund vs Real Madrid Prediction :

Phil Thompson: I believe Real will win, but we supported Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League Final and favored Man City in their quarter-final against Real Madrid in the Champions League. An underdog win is possible, and Borussia Dortmund could take advantage of the opportunity.
Real only suffered one defeat throughout the entire season and only allowed 26 goals, which is truly remarkable. Naturally, we all recall the dramatic late goals scored by Stoke City icon Joselu against Bayern Munich in the semifinal, finding the back of the net in the 88th and 91st minute. Real Madrid’s specialty is scoring late goals.
Dortmund ended their season two weeks ago, allowing them to rest well before their final home game against Darmstadt, which they won 4-0. They will be in high spirits as they decided to bench most of their top players for the last league game.
I believe both teams will score in this match, I am a big fan of Mats Hummels playing as a center back, he seems dangerous during set pieces, I predict the score will be 1-3 in favor of Real Madrid.

Borussia Dortmund vs Real Madrid Head-to-Head :

This will mark the 15th encounter in Europe between these two teams, all of which have taken place in the Champions League. Madrid is the team that Dortmund has played the most in the competition (14 games), with only Bayern (22) and Juventus (16) being faced more often by the Spanish side.

Dortmund have only managed to secure victory in three of their encounters with Madrid (with five draws and six losses). Of all the teams that the German side have played against at least five times in the competition, they have a higher win percentage against the 14-time winners (21%) than against only Manchester City (17%).

Even though Madrid won 3-1 on the road and 3-2 at home last time they played in the 2017-18 group stage, there is still optimism for Dortmund. Neither team has ever won three games in a row against each other in European competition before.

Borussia Dortmund vs Real Madrid Team News :

Dortmund boss Edin Terzic, who is only missing Ramy Bensebaini and Sebastian Haller, could name the same side he fielded in the second leg of their semi-final tie with PSG. Expect to see Marco Reus feature at some point in his final game for the club.

After being injured nearly all season, Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois could return for the final. Aurelien Tchouameni is also a doubt so Eduardo Camavinga is likely to come in.
